Jimmie Chapman 1955-2025

Jimmie Chapman, 69, of Bono, Arkansas, formerly of Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on April 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 28, 1955, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, Jimmie was the son of the late Otis and Loree Chapman. He was a proud and devoted member of the Church of Christ in Niceville, Florida. Jimmie dedicated his life to service, retiring as a sheriff’s deputy from Walton County, Florida. He had a true passion for adventure, especially riding motorcycles and taking trips with his close friends from the sheriff’s office, often attending biker events across the country. Whether it was a cross-country ride or a quick getaway, Jimmie loved to travel — he simply couldn't sit still for long. His vibrant, outgoing personality meant he never met a stranger, and he built a lifetime of friendships wherever the road took him. Above all, Jimmie loved spending time with his family. His home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and stories from his many adventures. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and a life well-lived. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Chapman, whom he married on December 10, 2010; four sons, Aaron Chapman (Ceylona) of Niceville, Florida, Brian Chapman of Niceville, Florida, Jeffrey Chapman, and Robert Chapman (Kelsey) of Norfolk, Virginia; one daughter, Allison Wood of Auburn, Alabama; two brothers, William Chapman (Milli) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Raymond Chapman (Peggy) of Daphne, Alabama; three cherished grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and countless treasured friends. He is also survived by his extended family: Darren Rogers (brother-in-law) of Bono, Arkansas, Regina Rogers (sister-in-law) of Yakima, Washington, April Roush (sister-in-law) of Brookland, Arkansas, Christy Cain (sister-in-law) of Houston, Texas, Steve Henderson (brother-in-law) and his wife Mandy of Parkersburg, Virginia. Jenny Jo Chapman 1959-2025

Jenny Jo Chapman, age 65, of Stoddard, WI, passed away unexpectedly on April 4th, 2025 at her home. Jenny was born on June 2nd, 1959 in Wabasha, Minnesota to Marilyn and Roger Youngbauer. She graduated from Desoto High School. Jenny worked at Altra Federal Credit Union and Credit Bureau Data in La Crosse prior to her retirement. Jenny loved to travel and acquiring jewelry was her passion. She also loved playing in the dirt with her flowers and garden. Jenny is survived by her parents, Marilyn and Roger Youngbauer, daughters Stephanie Hesselberg (Brian) and Trisha Nickerson (Cyle), son Kyle Chapman, sister Tammy Fularczyk, brother Bruce Youngbauer (Heidi), grandchildren Tandem, Taviene, Zayden, Madison, and Brantley John, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 4th from 1 PM to 4 PM at Timmers 10 Mile Pub at the intersection of Highway 14 and County Road YY. Richard Alan Chapman 1952-2025

OHIO - Richard Alan Chapman, 73, of New Boston, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at SOMC Hospice surrounded by his family and loved ones. Rich was born on March 6, 1952, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Evelyn Ruth Ratcliff.    A 1970 Portsmouth High School graduate, he retired as supervisor after 30 years as a Level 2 operator at the Portsmouth Water Works. Following retirement, Rich was a salesman at the former Oberling’s Motor Company and he had worked at Phil Wood Plumbing.    Bass fishing, however, was Rich’s true passion, and one that he pursued at every opportunity. In 1987 he was selected Rookie of the Year of the Ohio Bass Tournament Circuit. Rich also coached for many years for the Portsmouth Softball Little League, and served as coach for the Ohio Buckeye Fastpitch Divas travel team. He also spent many happy hours playing video games with his youngest daughter, Elizabeth.    Surviving are his daughter and son, Angela Dawn Egerton of Portsmouth, and Richard William (Betsey) Chapman of Rosemount, and their mother, Bille Pratt Jones of New Boston; daughter Elizabeth Dee-Ann (Dylan) Chapman Fields of Wayne, WV, and her mother and Rich’s former wife of 30 years, Jo-Dee Knittel Chapman (Jack Bentz) of Huntington, WV; three grandchildren, Sarah Marie Collins, Mason (Courtney) Chapman, and Reid (Ally) Chapman; five great-grandchildren, Steven Jeremy Nagle, Bo Cephus Nagle, Granger Dean Nagle, Stetson Chapman and Ella Chapman; former mother-in-law, Eloise Knittel of Portsmouth; former brothers-in-law, J.D. (Anita) Knittel and Jeff Knittel, all of Portsmouth; a cousin who was like a sister to him, Teresa (Yancy) Kayser of Portsmouth; and many other loving friends and family members.    The family extends special thanks to Rich’s caretaker, Gayle Nylund.    Rich was also preceded in death by his former father-in-law, Dean Knittel.    Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Ralph F. James Sidney Chapman Jr. (Sonny) 1940-2025

James Sidney Chapman Jr. (Sonny), 84, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at his home in Salisbury, NC. He was born December 30, 1940, in Cabarrus County, NC to the late James Sidney and Helen Ritchie Chapman. Sonny worked as an Industrial Engineer for Michelin and Cannon Mills. He was a member of Rock Grove Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Chapman. Sonny is survived by his wife Brenda Chapman, whom he married December 19, 1958; three daughters, Lynn Kretzer (Claud), Tracy (Currie) Pendleton, Kim Chapman; seven granddaughters, Michelle Kesler, Brooke Rowe, Ashley Harper, Lyndsey Shinn Tijerina, Billie Daily, Emmy Pendleton, Kyah Chapman; grandson, Jon Pendleton. He is also survived by his sister, Judy (Randy) Hamrick. The family will greet friends and relatives on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell.
